1       Motion to elect a temporary Chair under Standing Order 17.22 for this meeting

1.1 The Clerk opened the meeting.

1.2 Heledd Fychan MS was elected as temporary Chair for this meeting, in place of Delyth Jewell MS.

2       Introductions, apologies and substitutions

2.1 The temporary Chair welcomed the Members to the meeting.

2.2 Apologies were received from Delyth Jewell MS, Alun Davies MS and Mick Antoniw MS. Llyr Gruffydd MS attended as a substitute for Delyth Jewell MS.

3       Prohibition of Greyhound Racing (Wales) Bill - Stakeholder evidence session with Academics

3.1 The Committee held an evidence session with a panel of academic stakeholders on the Prohibition of Greyhound Racing (Wales) Bill.

4       Prohibition of Greyhound Racing (Wales) Bill - Stakeholder evidence session with Greyhound racers

4.1 The Committee held an evidence session with a panel of stakeholders from the Greyhound Racing industry as part of its consideration of the Prohibition of Greyhound Racing (Wales) Bill.

5       Motion under Standing Order 17.42 (ix) to resolve to exclude the public from items 6 and 10 of this meeting, and for the start of the meeting on 6 November 2025

5.1 The motion was agreed.

6.1 The Committee considered the evidence received.

7       Prohibition of Greyhound Racing (Wales) Bill - Stakeholder evidence session with dog trainers

7.1 The Committee held an evidence session with dog trainers as part of its consideration of the Prohibition of Greyhound Racing (Wales) Bill.

7.2 Apologies were received from Malcolm Tams.

7.3 Due to technical difficulties Anna Jeffrey was only present for the start of the meeting, and Steve Howard was unable to contribute.
